The links below are MP3 format files recorded on FM Radio quality (96KBits/s) so can take a while to download. They were recorded by my last band which was pretty good up until the two brothers chucked the non brothers out! I'd like to thank them though because after about five bands I finally learnt that drumming was all about timing. Strange how comedy draws such a similar parallel!
Of course my history with music goes back much further to when I used to watch my old man play the washboard, mum never would do his socks. I tried to follow in his large but smelly footsteps when I finally got a small drum kit. This was later sold because I didn't play it enough and when I did I was told to keep the noise down. I never did find a volume button and I never did work out how to play Apache by the Shadows.
Having gracefully entered college some years later I squandered my grant on a shiny new white drum kit (that year, and a camera the next) and music was never the same again for anybody that knew me. Not content to make a noise on my own I went off in search of other like minded bad musicians but none of them really came down to the standards I needed.
Now some years on, having learnt how to count to four and then start again, I find myself embarking on the God like world of being a guitarist; you can imagine how that is going! In July 2005 I took ownership of my new pride and joy an Eric Clapton signature model Fender Stratocaster (affectionately called Lou). Unfortunately having the man's guitar has not made me play like him.
Enjoy the music - McTadger.
