The James and Hannah Strover Connection
The tree for James Strover is very uncertain. It is based upon the knowlegde that William Bottle married a Mary Ann from Charing. The only marriage entries for around about the right time show a William Bottle and Mary Ann Dennett. Subequently I did find a Mary Ann Dennett born in Charing living with her mother Jane Dennett and her grandmother Hannah Strover (1881 census). Having Jane's mum living in the house was handy because it gave me Jane's maiden name. I cannot find any records relating to a marriage of Jane Strover and a Mr Dennett though.
In the 1871 Census Hannah Strover was not living with her daughter but there was an entry in the house next door for a James and Hannah Strover. Close babysitters? Possibly!
